Production
Chuva de Verão was an independent Portuguese production, filmed over 28 days in Vila Nova de Milfontes. It had a small crew of 30 people, spanning a wide range of backgrounds and experience, from industry professionals to new talent. We pride ourselves on having an inclusive cast and crew, with members of different backgrounds, nationalities, ages and genders. We respected national standards for a sustainable and environmentally friendly production. We enlisted the support of the municipality and the region where the shoot took place, to source local talent, materials, catering services and other resources. We had the invaluable support and advice of mentors and colleagues at the California Institute of the Arts, who encouraged us throughout this two-year process to give our best, work harder and, most importantly, to be willing to step outside of our comfort zone and question everything along the way.
